O: Post break-up giver ganske performative billeder af dig der sidder med veven og går igennem sorgen
S: Det som kändes fint med denna titel var också som en ärlig giv till sorgen. Och att sorg får ta plats och tid i våra liv. Men känns lite utlämnande de där performativa bilderna
O: Ja, du kan give det lidt tid hvad som hænger ved:)
O: Fint billede at sorgen får tage plads
S: Ja. Det är fint att få välja titel, som en bonus

O: Det er også lidt feminitistisk budskab da
O: Fordi kvinder altid har fået at vide at de har travelt med at skaffe partner og barn
O: Og når man er i break-up så er man jo ikke akkurat på vej til barn ;)
O: Men det synes jeg egentlig er bra
O: Giver mere karakter til værket

Sara Guldmyr bor og arbeider i Oslo. Hun har en BFA fra Kunstakademiet i Trondheim, NTNU og en MFA fra Kunstakademiet i Oslo. Guldmyr arbeider hovedsakelig med skulptur, film og installasjon. I sin praksis undersøker hun tid og tidsmåling i forhold til kropp, teknologi og mellommenneskelige relasjoner.

S: Is it too honest, the title for the weave:
S: «Post break-up»
O: No, I don’t think it’s too honest
O: Is that what the work is about for you?
S: I think it might have been about that, the process
O: Post break-up gives quite a performative image of you sitting with the weave and going through the grief
S: What felt good about this title was also an honest tribute to grief. And that grief can have space and time in our lives. But those performative images feel a bit revealing.
O: Yes, you can give it some time, see what stays with you :)
O: Nice image that grief can take its place
S: Yes. It’s nice to be able to choose a title, it’s like a bonus
O: Mmm O: There is also a bit of a feminist message there
O: Because women have always been told that they are in a hurry to get a partner and children
O: And when you’re in a break-up, you’re not exactly on your way to having children ;)
O: But I think that’s actually good
O: Gives more character to the work

Sara Guldmyr lives and works in Oslo. She holds a BFA from the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, NTNU, and an MFA from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Guldmyr primarily works with sculpture, film, and installation. In her practice, she explores time and time measurement in relation to the body, technology, and interpersonal relationships.
